Independent & Selective Draco Malfoy from the HP Series

Rules

The writer: I'm May, 25+, she/her. For my own comfort I'll only follow and write with 21+. I'm in the GMT timezone is I work full-time. My time on tumblr is, sadly, limited and I tend to be slow with replies, though that's no indication of my excitment.

Ground Rules: Just don't be a dick. Besides that I won't follow back anyone without their age anywhere on their blog. While there might be dark themes on this blog from time to time, and I try to tag them, please don't hesitate to let me know if you need me to tag anything for you (if you'd rather not ask publicly, feel free to shoot an anonymous message). For myself, please tag mentions of suicide and cancer.

Formatting: My formatting is minimal, usual just small text and 100x100 icons. As long as I can read your replies properly, feel free to edit them as desired. I only ask that you trim your threads so it doesn't take forever for me to scroll through my dash.

Writing: I do not have a main verse, though I tend to default to post-canon verse for interactions with HP characters and either a lawyer or a fandomless witch verse for other characters. For HP interactions, note that my canon timeline verses (books 1-7) are only available upon request. Please reach out to me first if you want to write within that timeline.

My current list of verses is by no means an extensive list of all the verses I am willing/eager to write in. If you'd like to write a particular setting/plot with me and don't think it'd fit with what I already have, please just talk to me. Chances are I'll be more than up for it.

Preferences: I prefer longer threads (novella/multi-para length) and plotted stuff. That being said, I do have a soft spot for texting threads ;)

Shipping: Love them, want all of them, really hope you'll talk to me about them! I'm also okay writing smut, but generally I prefer it's with a writer I'm familiar and comfortable with.

Canon: Canon is a suggestion. Generally, I am flexible with everything, though I really do not acknowledge Cursed Child in any way, shape or form, besides a shitty novel written by Rita Skeeter. Interactions with characters who'd have altered canon significantly will be discussed on a case by case basis.

Selectivity: This blog is private and selective. This doesn’t mean I won’t write with people I don’t know, but it does mean I’ll be selective in doing so, and I won’t be following back everyone. I also generally don't follow back canon characters I'm not a fan of, unless they're being written by writers I already know. If I follow you, that means I want to write with you, though!

Exclusivity: I am exclusive with Astoria Greengrass, Clary Fairchild and Pansy Parkinson and I will not be interacting with other versions of those characters.

Verses

Under heavy construction, longer bios being written.

Harry Potter
Post War: After a summer spent travelling, Draco takes up a job at the Department of Magic Cooperation and tries to get his life together and to clear his name as much as possible
Azkaban: Actions have consequences, and after everything that happened after his sixth year, the Wizengamot has no choice but to sentence Draco to three years in Azkaban. He's out in two due to good behavior and overcrowding, trying desperately to pick up the pieces of his life.
Voldemort wins: Voldemort did not fall at the Battle of Hogwarts, Harry Potter did and never woke up again. Now, it is up to the survivors to carry on, as a dying Order of the Phoenix tries to fight back and regain control of their control, as the rest of the world watches silently over what happens in the United Kingdom.

Game of Thrones
Lannister: Lucius Lannister is Tywin's younger brother and Draco is his only son. His position in the family should be enough to keep him out of most trouble, but finding trouble--especially when it might come with a side of power--has always been one of Draco's greatest strengths.
Golden Company: A son of the long gone Blackfyre line, Draco has always done whatever it takes him to survive, even when it has meant picking up a sword and working his way up through the ranks of the Golden Company. Soon, there are tales of wars to the West and dragons to the East, and Draco must choose where his loyalties truly lie.

Vampire
A freak accident: He's a spoiled son of an English lord in the sixteenth century and when he falls ill, his mother takes any chance present to her to save his life, even when the price is feeding her only son vampire blood. He survives the tuberculosis which would've otherwise killed him, but there's nothing to save him from the fall from his horse afterwards. When he opens his eyes again, he's a vampire.
The attack: His wife is at home, their new baby girl peacefully asleep on her crib. He's out to discuss a new business opportunity with a merchant visiting town when something jumps him and leaves him to die on the side of the road. Out of spite, Draco survives--though he turns into a vampire--and learns how to keep on living, now that his wife and daughter are lost to him.

Human verses
FBI: Draco's an undercover agent working with the FBI, which puts him in touch with a lot of criminals he probably should not be involved with, especially considering his father is one of the biggest arms dealer in the continent.
Lawyer: After a massive falling out with his father, Draco moves from the UK to the US, first to study and then to practice the law. Whether he ever wants to rebuild his relationship with his father or move back home, is anyone's guess.
Doctor: WIP.
Politician: WIP.

Magic
Modern witch: Magic is not a cure or solution to all of life's problems, and Draco finds that out easily enough, when after an initiation ritual going terribly wrong, he wakes up with blood on his hands, a dead body on the floor, and no idea how it got there. Unwilling to deal with what that means for himself--and the consequence of his own actions--Draco moves to the US, and tries to put that part of his life behind him, becoming a lawyer who doesn't use his magic for anything more complicated than fixing his coffee machine.

More verses TBA soon.
